CycleBoost™ is TexxChem's performance acid additive package engineered for cooling tower and industrial water treatment applications. Authorized distributors blend CycleBoost™ into H₂SO₄ to produce a performance acid designed to extend Cycles of Concentration (CoC), control alkalinity and lower Langelier Saturation Index (LSI), protecting system metallurgy during continuous acid dosing, and improving cleaning effectiveness during periodic descaling treatments. CycleBoost™ applies to both continuous bleed-and-feed programs and scheduled descaling protocols.

THE PROBLEM

WHY STANDARD ACID FALL SHORT

CORROSION WITHOUT INHIBITION

Straight H₂SO₄ dosed for alkalinity control attacks basin materials, fill media, and heat exchanger tubes in the absence of inhibitor chemistry.

FUMING HAZARD DURING HANDLING

Straight acid produces significant vapor during transfer and dosing, increasing personnel exposure risk in occupied industrial facilities.

OVER-ACIDIFICATION AT INJECTION POINTS

DISPERSANTS

Acrylate co-polymers and silica dispersants prevent suspended solids and colloidal silica from depositing on heat transfer surfaces.

MODE 01 · CONTINOUS ACID DOSING

BLEED & FEED

CycleBoost™ enhanced acid is metered continuously into the recirculating water stream to control alkalinity and suppress LSI allowing the system to operate at higher CoC without scale formation. Corrosion inhibitors protect system metallurgy through ongoing acid exposure; the kinetic moderator prevents the rapid pH swings that cause localized damage with straight acid.

MODE 02 · PERIODIC DESCALING

SCHEDULED SOAK & CIRCULATION

CycleBoost™ enhanced acid is applied as a scheduled soak or circulation treatment to dissolve existing CaCO₃ deposits from fill media, basin surfaces, and heat exchanger tubes. Surfactants improve wetting across all surfaces; the kinetic moderator prevents aggressive dissolution that causes pitting; corrosion inhibitors protect metallurgy through extended contact.
